Water passes through layered particulate media designed to capture sediment, rust and fine particles, then through activated carbon fibre designed to adsorb residual chlorine and selected organic contaminants. The Vitamin C cartridge then finishes the water — the sensory, beauty-led stage of the system rather than a filtration one.
The Vitamin C stage sits at the end of the system and gives the shower its sensory, beauty-led character. Formulations typically contain Vitamin C concentrate with glycerine and aromatic components. We present it as part of the ritual rather than as a medical or clinical treatment.
Unthread your existing head by hand, seat the supplied sealing washer, thread the Senca on and hand-tighten. It fits the standard shower hose connection — no tools and no plumber. Run the shower for thirty seconds before first use.
Filtration media and the Vitamin C component are consumables, designed to be replaced roughly every three months depending on your water and how often you shower. The Refill Set contains everything the system consumes.

No. Senca is not a water softener. The system is designed with hard-water homes in mind and helps reduce the mineral residue that builds up inside a shower head, but softening your household water is a different process entirely and we do not claim it.
No. The head threads onto a standard shower hose by hand, with a sealing washer supplied in the box. No tools and no plumber required.
Roughly every three months for a typical household. The exact interval depends on your water quality and how often the shower is used — heavier use or harder water shortens the cycle.
